CUMULUS - Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for 1st - 6th grades.

From 6:00—6:30, kids can purchase a kid-friendly and pocket-book-friendly dinner. Our normal menu is pizza (or another kid-friendly choice like burgers, soft tacos, etc) plus drinks (soft drinks, Gatorade, juice, bottled water). Most kids spend between $1.50 and $3.00, so you can feed your family for next-to-nothing! After they eat, the kids head to the Trailhead room to play games.

At 6:30, we divide them into two groups for an hour’s worth of large group/small group time. This fall, the 1st—4th graders are studying "Center Stage - living a life of worship".

An example of one of the lessons is:

Lesson Goal: The children will learn that we should only worship God. We accomplish this by not letting anything become more important to us than God.

Main Point: Only God Is Worthy Of My Worship

Bible Story: Jesus speaks to the rich young man (Mark 10:17-22)

Memory Verse: 1 Timothy 1:17"All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen." (NLT)

Our 5th and 6th graders will continue with the Grapple series, which is designed to get preteens grappling with tough questions in meaningful ways so they can understand their own faith. In the coming weeks, we will grapple with questions like “Why do my parents always say no?’ and “What would Jesus play on his Ipod?”. We’re learning more than just Bible stories. Each lesson is designed to show our kids how the Bible is still relevant—even in their lives today.

Wednesday nights are casual and interactive. There are lots of deep conversations, but also tons of laughter. Plus, there is something for everyone in the family on Wednesday nights—Men’s Fraternity, Ladies’ and Co-Ed Bible Studies, Preschool Discovery Time, BURN Student Worship and Celebration Choir.
